Mr. Robert Jeffco has been training and teaching Hapkido at the Academy for more than 25 years. He was an outstanding high school and college wrestler. He has a Master's Degree in Special Education. He recently retired from the Altoona Area School District where he spent his career supporting special needs students. Mr. Jeffco has received recognition for his humanitarian efforts. He has provided a free special education class for challenged individuals for many years. Mr Jeffco is certified as a black belt within the Jin Pal Hapkido Martial Arts Federation. Mr. Jeffco is ranked in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from the Yamasaki Academy.

His amazing strength and conditioning are a tribute to the benefits of martial arts training for all ages.
Mr. Patrick McDowell has been training and teaching Hapkido at the Academy of Martial Arts for more than 22 years. He graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education. He obtained a Master's degree from Saint Francis University. He is currently a physical education instructor in the Altoona Area School District. Mr. McDowell is the lead adult class instructor at the Academy. His background in physical education enhances his ability to provide challenging fitness programs within the Hapkido classes he instructs. Mr. McDowell is certified as a black belt in theJin Pal Hapkido Martial Arts Federation. Mr. McDowell is ranked in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from the Yamasaki Academy.

His flashy kicks, outstanding physical prowess and flowing techniques make him a role model for students of all ages.
